Belvedere FabricBEL1974

The BEL1974 swatch has a luminous chartreuse cast, with yellow-green colour broken by a softly irregular chenille texture. Light catches the raised yarns unevenly, keeping the surface from reading as a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

BEL1974 is a chenille with a vivid chartreuse-green ground, sitting between yellow and fresh leaf green rather than a cool blue green. The close, napped surface shows fine yarn variation, with softly mottled darker and lighter patches that give the plain colour depth. Made from 100% polyester and 138cm wide, it is specified for contract and domestic upholstery. It is machine washable, with domestic cigarette-and-match flame retardancy and the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this energetic yellow-green on a statement armchair, dining seat or upholstered headboard where its lively chartreuse tone can act as the room’s focal colour. Balance its brightness with warm natural timber, quiet neutrals or deeper olive accents.

A vivid yellow-green chenille that brings lively colour and tactile depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
