Bergamo is shown here in a muted rust-red colourway, with a finely mottled surface that combines brick, brown and cooler grey flecks. The close weave gives the swatch a softly textured, understated appearance rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

This chenille has a warm, weathered rust tone, softened by closely packed brown-grey threads that create gentle variation across the surface. Its small-scale woven texture catches the light subtly, giving the colour depth without making the fabric look glossy or formal. Made from 100% polyester and 138cm wide, it is specified for domestic upholstery. The fabric is machine washable and carries Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy.

How to use it

Use this rust-red colourway on a domestic armchair, sofa or dining seat where its earthy warmth can sit comfortably with charcoal, warm wood and oatmeal upholstery. The restrained mottling also helps soften the intensity of the red in a layered neutral room.

Use the muted rust-red tone to bring warmth to domestic seating, pairing it with charcoal, aged timber or soft neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
