About this fabric

This chenille is 138cm wide and composed of 84% polyester and 16% recycled cotton. The close, nubby weave visible in the swatch combines warm ivory-beige threads with fine taupe-grey flecks and irregular horizontal texture. Rated for domestic upholstery, it offers a relaxed, tactile finish for seating and occasional furniture. ALT4224 is machine washable and has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy.

How to use it

Use the softly warm pale beige as a quiet upholstery base alongside natural oak, ivory and stone, then draw out the taupe-grey threads with muted mushroom or warm grey accents. Its small-scale texture adds interest to sofas, armchairs and dining seats without introducing a strong motif.

A pale beige chenille with taupe-grey depth, well suited to relaxed domestic upholstery and softly layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
