About this fabric
Made from 100% polyester, this velvet is 138cm wide and suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The close pile gives the taupe surface a soft, subtly lustrous finish, while the plain design keeps the colour and texture at the forefront. It is machine washable, with Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy; it can also be treated to achieve Crib 5 contract grade. The restrained shade works particularly well where a neutral upholstery colour needs more depth than beige without becoming dark.
How to use it
Use this warm taupe on a sofa, armchair or upholstered headboard, pairing it with ivory, oatmeal and softly aged timber for a tonal scheme. Its low-contrast colour also sits comfortably alongside charcoal, olive or brushed brass accents.
