About this fabric

This 100% polyester boucle weave has a compact, tactile texture, with curled yarns creating a subtly uneven surface across the espresso ground. Its darkest areas read almost black, while the raised brown loops catch the light to prevent the colour from appearing flat. At 138cm wide, it is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The fabric is machine washable, carries Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this deep espresso colourway to upholster a contemporary sofa, reading chair or headboard where its almost-black depth can anchor lighter walls and warm timber. Pair it with tobacco leather, aged brass or softer chocolate textiles to draw out the boucle’s brown highlights.

Its near-black espresso tone and richly raised boucle texture suit statement occasional chairs, sofas and upholstered headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
