About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet shows a gently brushed surface that shifts subtly between taupe and mushroom brown as the light catches it. The plain face keeps the emphasis on its warm, understated colour rather than a printed motif. PAS2710 is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery and has machine-washable aftercare. It meets Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its softly shaded velvet surface can add depth without introducing a pattern. Pair it with warm timber, stone neutrals and darker brown accents for a grounded, quietly elegant scheme.

Pairs well with

PAS2710 is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
