Déjà Vu Jamais Midnight

Velvet fabrics Velvet003

Déjà Vu Jamais Midnight is a deep, almost-black navy velvet with a quiet geometric design worked into its surface. The pile catches the light in soft vertical and directional traces, giving the dark colour depth rather than a flat appearance.

About this fabric

The velvet is patterned with broad, irregular maze-like lines that emerge tonally from the midnight ground rather than contrasting sharply with it. Its very dark blue shade reads cool and saturated in the swatch, while the changing pile creates slightly lighter blue highlights across the folds and directional marks. The medium-scale geometry gives the cloth a structured, architectural character without becoming visually loud. No further performance features or specification data have been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this midnight colourway on a sculptural armchair, sofa or headboard where its plush surface and low-contrast geometry can be seen up close. Pair the cool navy with blackened timber, smoked glass or warm brass to bring out the subtle sheen.

A deep midnight velvet with a restrained tonal maze pattern and a rich, light-catching pile.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
