Delabrè Blue

Fabrics Fabric100

Delabrè Blue pairs a deep, cool indigo ground with irregular blue-black and muted grey-violet marks. Its surface has a visibly grained, almost weathered character that gives the colourway considerable depth.

About this fabric

The design is made up of broad, broken abstract forms with occasional curling and botanical-like shapes scattered across the swatch. Dark indigo areas sit over a softer blue-violet ground, while the distressed marks create a layered, painterly effect rather than a crisp repeat. A fine woven grid is clearly visible through the pattern, adding tactile definition and subtly catching the light. The balanced weight suggested by the cloth makes this colourway suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Delabrè Blue to bring a cool, enveloping note to a reading chair, sofa or pair of curtains, balancing its dense indigo pattern with chalky grey, pale wood or brushed metal.

The cool indigo ground and distressed painterly marks bring depth to upholstery or softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
