About this fabric

This Naples FR Taupe colourway from the Alderney collection by Fryett's Fabrics is a 100% polyester fabric with a 140cm width and no pattern repeat. Visually, it has a deep smoky taupe ground with brown and espresso-like shading that gives the surface a lived-in, textural look. The finish appears softly brushed or crushed, so the tone shifts subtly across the cloth as the light moves over it. With no repeating motif, the interest comes from the mottled colour variation and the dense, even hand shown in the swatch. The result feels grounded and versatile, with enough warmth to sit comfortably in both upholstery and drapery settings.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, banquette or curtains where you want a dark neutral that still feels warmer than charcoal. It pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and chalky off-whites.
