Bordeaux Plain French Blue

Eco -Friendly Ranges Fabric

Bordeaux Plain in French Blue shows a calm, cool blue ground with a raised floral damask pattern that sits just a shade deeper than the base. The tone feels fresh and composed rather than bright, giving the cloth a quietly tailored look.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% BCI Cotton, this fabric has a firm yet approachable handle that suits a range of interior uses, with a 138cm width for practical making up. The pattern repeat is 38cm vertical by 71cm horizontal, and the design reads as an ornate floral damask with a subtle textural contrast rather than a high-shine finish. In this colourway, the French blue is softened with a slightly greyed cast, so the pattern blends elegantly into the ground instead of standing in stark contrast. The overall effect is smart and controlled, with enough visual interest to add depth without overwhelming a room.

How to use it

Use this blue on an armchair, banquette or lined curtains where its cool tone can balance warm wood and brass. It pairs especially well with pale neutrals, chalky greys and crisp white paint for a fresh, layered scheme.

A cool, refined blue that works well for tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
