About this fabric

This fabric has a gently textured, woven look with painterly horizontal bands that drift from faded pink and terracotta into stone, taupe and cream. The design feels warm rather than bright, with the spice notes appearing softened and slightly dusty in the light. At 142cm wide, it is made from 71% recycled polyester and 29% cotton, giving the cloth a practical everyday handle while keeping the surface visually relaxed. The 45cm vertical repeat supports the large, rhythmic layout seen in the swatch, where the pattern reads as layered and contemporary rather than strict or geometric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want warmth without heaviness: it works well on a statement chair, loose cushions or relaxed curtains in a room with oak, linen and plaster-toned finishes. The muted spice palette brings depth to neutral schemes and sits especially well against warm whites and soft greys.

Pair with pale oak, chalky neutrals and textured linens to let the warm, layered pattern read softly.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Denham Spice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
