About this fabric

This colourway reads as a soft moleskin taupe: muted, slightly warm and gently textural rather than stark or high-contrast. The repeating oval-dot motif is set at a 32cm vertical and 17cm horizontal repeat, and the surface visible in the swatch has a dry, woven look that keeps the pattern feeling relaxed. Made in a 140cm width, it combines 36% Polyester, 18% BCI Cotton and 46% Ecovero Viscose, giving the cloth a balanced handle for interior use. The understated tone makes the pattern easy to live with, while the small woven grain within each shape adds depth when light lands across it. Care instructions are NQT1<.

How to use it

Use this taupe version to soften angular furniture, especially alongside light timber, sandstone and boucle textures. It works well in schemes that need pattern without visual noise, bringing a tailored feel to cushions, occasional chairs or relaxed curtains.

Pair with oak, chalky neutrals and warm metallics for a clean, tailored scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Metronome Moleskin without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
