About this fabric

This fabric has a 137cm width and a 44cm pattern repeat, and its 61% polyester, 21% cotton, 9% viscose and 9% linen blend gives the cloth a balanced, textile feel. The damask motif is clearly large in scale, with the charcoal pattern sitting over the pale ground in a slightly mottled, woven-looking finish rather than a flat print. The contrast is cool and controlled, so the overall effect feels elegant but not heavy. With no performance finish noted and care coded NQT1<, it is best chosen for decorative use where the pattern can be seen and appreciated.

How to use it

The cool charcoal-on-ivory palette works well with pale oak, stone and brushed nickel, especially in rooms that need pattern without strong colour. It would also bring a tailored note to a bedroom or dining space when used at window height or on a single accent chair.

Use for tailored curtains or upholstered accent pieces for a clean, restrained look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Amalfi Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
