About this fabric

This woven fabric is made from 78% Polyester and 22% Cotton and comes in a 140cm width. The 32cm vertical repeat and 35.5cm horizontal repeat create a generous tartan that reads clearly across upholstery pieces. In this colourway, bright azure and teal threads stand out against charcoal blocks, while fine white pinstripes and muted olive accents add depth and definition. The overall effect is cool, smart and slightly rugged, with enough texture in the weave to keep the check from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use Balmoral Azure on an armchair, ottoman or window seat where the blue-green lines can add structure against plain walls. It sits well with natural oak, slate, and warm neutrals that let the azure tone stay vivid.

Pair with oatmeal linen and dark timber for a sharp, country-inspired scheme.
