About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is woven in a 78% polyester and 22% cotton mix, with a 140cm width and a 32cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. In this colourway, the dominant aqua reads soft and slightly weathered rather than vivid, which helps the cream ground feel calm and open. Fine red and rust lines sharpen the check pattern and stop the palette from drifting too pastel. The surface looks like a smooth woven fabric with a clear, easy-to-read plaid, suited to interiors that want colour without heaviness.

How to use it

Pair Balmoral Aqua with pale oak, chalky white and linen textures to emphasise its crisp, lifted feel. It also works well with muted terracotta accents, echoing the red pinstripes in a subtle way.

Use with pale woods and warm neutrals to keep the aqua checks feeling fresh rather than coastal.
