About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is a 78% polyester, 22% cotton blend with a 140cm width and a 32cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. In this colourway, the check reads as a muted antique gold grounded by smoky grey, beige and soft brown stripes, giving the surface a warm, weathered character. The weave appears smooth and cloth-like rather than bulky, so the plaid stays crisp while still feeling relaxed. Its balanced fibre mix and measured repeat make it practical for coordinated upholstery or drapery schemes where a traditional check needs a softer finish.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or tailored curtains where the warm gold ground can lift timber and neutral upholstery. It works especially well with dark walnut, brushed brass and cream paint, which bring out the fabric’s mellow contrast.

Pair with aged wood and oatmeal upholstery to let the warm check read softly and not too busy.
