About this fabric

Woven in 78% Polyester and 22% Cotton, this fabric has the practical feel of a tailored decorative textile with a clean, structured check. The 140cm width and 32cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal repeat make it suitable for larger projects where the plaid needs to sit neatly across panels or cushions. In this colourway, the red is rich and slightly muted rather than bright, balanced by cream and taupe bands that soften the overall effect. Fine darker lines sharpen the grid and give the design a traditional tartan rhythm.

How to use it

Use Balmoral Cardinal to add warmth to a room with timber, leather or painted cabinetry, where the red and beige check can feel especially grounded. It works well for statement cushions, bench seats or relaxed curtains in schemes that need a heritage accent without going overly formal.
