Troon Cornflower

Misc Fabric

Troon Cornflower is a softly washed check with a calm cornflower-blue ground and warm beige overchecks. The dark navy lines give the pattern a clearer tartan definition without losing its relaxed feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 89% polyester and 11% cotton, this fabric has a practical mixed-fibre handle with a visibly crisp, lightly textured surface. The 140cm width makes it straightforward for curtains, loose covers and upholstery projects, while the 33cm pattern repeat gives the check a bold, readable scale. In this colourway the blue sits on the pale, slightly dusty side, tempered by taupe-beige and creamy notes that stop it feeling overly bright. The navy grid adds depth and contrast, so the design reads as fresh and classic rather than sugary or nautical.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or cushion scheme where the cornflower blue can cool down warmer woods and natural finishes. It also works well at the window, where the pale blue and beige blocks will pick up daylight softly.

A gentle tartan check that brings a fresh, easy country feel to seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
