About this fabric

This colourway combines muted terracotta, golden mustard, soft cream and brown-black lines in a large check that reads warm rather than bright. The 89% polyester and 11% cotton composition gives it a practical woven handle, while the 140cm width makes it straightforward for larger furnishing projects. With a 33cm pattern repeat, the check has enough scale to make an obvious statement without losing its easygoing rhythm. The surface appears slightly nubby and dry to the eye, which suits the earthy, country-leaning feel of the palette. Care instructions are listed as NQT1<.

How to use it

Use it on a pair of armchairs, dining seats or a window seat where the spicy plaid can add colour without feeling formal. It also works well alongside oatmeal, tan and dark wood, where the warm stripes and checks can do the decorating.

Bring in warm timber and relaxed neutrals to let the check’s spicy tones stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
