Cortina Brick

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Cortina Brick brings together a warm brick-red ground with a neat, repeating vertical motif that reads bold yet ordered. The textured weave gives the colourway a lively, tactile surface with a clear retro feel.

About this fabric

This Fabric from Fryett's Fabrics has a width of 140cm and is composed of 44% viscose, 39% polyester and 17% cotton. The pattern repeat is 11.5cm vertical by 8.5cm horizontal, and the design shows rows of rounded oblong forms and coiled elliptical details across a pale ground. In this colourway the brick tone sits between rust and terracotta, giving the fabric a warm, sunbaked look with enough contrast to keep the pattern crisp. The surface appears softly textured rather than flat, so the motif has a slightly woven depth that feels smart and distinctive. Care instructions are NQT1<.

How to use it

Use Cortina Brick on accent chairs, cushions or a tailored blind where the warm red tone can animate a neutral scheme. It also works well with oak, walnut and oatmeal fabrics, especially in rooms that can handle a confident geometric pattern.

Pairs well with warm woods and textured neutrals for a grounded, contemporary look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cortina Brick without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
