About this fabric

Woven in 44% cotton, 30% polyester and 26% linen, this 140cm-wide fabric has the character of a versatile mid-weight textile suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The stripe runs in a calm, orderly rhythm, with slim sage, soft blue-grey and blush-tinted lines set against a warm ivory ground. A subtle herringbone-like texture sits between the stripes, giving the surface a dry, tailored look rather than a glossy finish. With a 0cm vertical repeat and 14.2cm horizontal repeat, the design keeps its linear clarity across a room. Care instructions are BQW1<.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without heaviness: it works especially well on dining chairs, loose covers and relaxed curtains. The sage-led stripe feels brightest alongside bleached wood, oat upholstery and soft white paint.

Pair with natural timber and warm neutrals to let the gentle stripe read fresh rather than busy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Burley Stripe Peony without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
