Cortina Indigo

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Cortina Indigo pairs a deep blue ground with a rhythmic oval motif that reads graphic and tailored. The lighter woven outlines give the pattern extra lift against the darker blocks.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied in a 140cm width and has a pattern repeat of 11.5cm vertical by 8.5cm horizontal, making the linked oval motif easy to plan across larger pieces. The composition is 44% viscose, 39% polyester and 17% cotton, so it has the look of a textured woven cloth with a clean, structured finish. In this colourway, the indigo feels cool and slightly inky, while the pale ground stops the design from becoming too heavy. The contrast between the solid navy ovals and the concentric outline shapes gives the surface a lively, mid-century graphic character.

How to use it

Use it to bring depth to a neutral room, where the indigo pattern can sit against pale paint, oak and brushed metal. It would also make striking cushions or curtains in a scheme that already includes white, stone or denim tones.

A crisp indigo pattern that works well on statement chairs or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
