Cortina Spice

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Cortina Spice brings a warm, sunbaked orange tone to the repeated rounded motif, with the pattern reading clearly against a pale ground. The finish has a gently textured woven look that gives the design an easy, lively character.

About this fabric

This Fryett's Fabrics design is a 140cm-wide fabric with a pattern repeat of 11.5cm vertical by 8.5cm horizontal, made from 44% viscose, 39% polyester and 17% cotton. The weave has a slightly nubby, textural surface that softens the graphic oval motif and keeps the overall effect approachable rather than glossy. In this colourway, the orange sits between terracotta and spice, with a muted warmth that feels fuller in the solid shapes and lighter in the outlined details. The contrast with the pale background makes the pattern feel crisp and rhythmic across the cloth. With no performance features noted, it reads as an attractive decorative textile for general interior use.

How to use it

Cortina Spice works well where you want a warm accent to lift timber, leather or neutral upholstery. Its earthy orange tone pairs neatly with cream, oat and tobacco shades, and the repeated motif adds energy without feeling harsh.

Use for statement upholstery or lively drapery where you want a warm, patterned finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cortina Spice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
