Burley Stripe Bordeaux

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Burley Stripe Bordeaux is a tailored vertical stripe with a warm, muted bordeaux-red taking centre stage. The mix of pale cream, soft sage and fine blush lines keeps the pattern crisp rather than heavy.

About this fabric

Woven in 44% Cotton, 30% Pol and 26% Linen, this 140cm-wide fabric has the dry, slightly textured look you’d expect from a cotton-linen blend with added polyester for stability. The stripe repeats at 14.2cm horizontally and reads as a balanced mix of bold bordeaux bands and narrower pinstripes in cream, sage and soft peach. Its colourway feels warm and grounded, with the red softened enough to sit comfortably in classic interiors rather than looking bright or glossy. With care instructions BQW1<, it is a practical striped cloth for schemes that want structure and colour in equal measure.

How to use it

Use it on a pair of armchairs, dining seats or a Roman blind where the vertical stripe can bring height and rhythm to the room. It works especially well with oak, putty, linen white and muted green accents, which echo the softer threads in the weave.

Pair with warm neutrals or aged wood to let the striped colourway feel tailored and classic.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
