Brockenhurst Bordeaux

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Brockenhurst Bordeaux pairs a soft neutral ground with a vertical floral stripe in warm bordeaux, coral and gold. The embroidered look feels lively but still refined, with plenty of open ground between the bands.

About this fabric

Brockenhurst Bordeaux from Fryett's Fabrics is a fabric with a 137cm width and a 15.5cm vertical pattern repeat, woven in 76% viscose and 26% linen. The cloth has a pale natural base that reads linen-like and slightly speckled, which lets the coloured stripe stand out clearly without feeling heavy. Along the stripe, coral-red flowers, mustard-gold floral medallions and soft sage-grey scrolling stems create a classic botanical rhythm. The surface appears smooth with a gently textured handle, so the design feels decorative rather than dense. Care code BQW1< is supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

This colourway works well on curtains, cushions or a feature chair where the bordeaux stripe can bring warmth to cream, taupe or aged wood finishes. Its airy ground keeps the palette from feeling too dark, even though the floral band is rich and detailed.

Use it where the warm bordeaux florals can add colour against the softly textured neutral ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
