Metro Emerald

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Metro Emerald has a grounded olive ground lifted by looping vertical stripes in rust, cream and soft green. The repeating wave motif gives the fabric a lively, mid-century feel without losing its tailored edge.

About this fabric

Woven in 51% cotton, 37% polyester and 12% viscose, this 140cm fabric has a practical mid-weight handle that suits both upholstery and drapery. The design repeats every 32cm, with each elongated oval formed by fine black outlining, warm rust edging and a fresh pale green line that sits against the olive ground. In this colourway the green reads muted and earthy rather than bright, while the contrast details add just enough definition to keep the surface looking crisp. The overall effect is smart and retro-influenced, with a calm depth that works well on larger upholstered pieces or statement curtains. Care instruction AVN1< should be followed to help preserve the cloth's finish.

How to use it

Use Metro Emerald where you want colour with restraint: on an armchair, bench seat or pinch-pleat curtains, the olive base stays sophisticated while the pattern adds movement. It pairs especially well with walnut timber, brushed brass and warm neutrals.

A smart olive weave that brings warmth and movement to contemporary seating or tailored curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Metro Emerald without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
