Metro Indigo

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Metro Indigo pairs a deep indigo ground with a softly rhythmic looping motif in pale gold and ivory. The result is a smart, quietly graphic fabric with plenty of depth in the background.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied as a 140cm-wide textile with a 32cm pattern repeat and a composition of 51% cotton, 37% poly and 12% vis, so it has a practical woven handle for everyday interior use. In this colourway, the dark blue ground reads cool and atmospheric, while the repeated wave-like loops are picked out in fine pale gold and off-white lines that lift the design without making it loud. The overall effect is polished rather than bright, with the contrast sitting neatly on top of the cloth rather than overpowering it. It feels well suited to schemes that want pattern and structure in a restrained, tailored way.

How to use it

Use Metro Indigo on a statement chair, ottoman or upholstered headboard where the indigo base can anchor the room. It also works well with brass details, walnut, and soft greys for a composed, modern finish.

Use with warm neutrals or polished woods to let the navy ground and fine contrast lines stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
