About this fabric

The small-scale pattern is built from alternating horizontal and vertical linework, producing a neat basket-like arrangement rather than a conventional check. Woven in 55% cotton and 45% linen, the 135 cm-wide cloth has the visual substance to work across curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 26 cm vertical repeat and 27 cm horizontal repeat keep the geometric rhythm controlled when the fabric is positioned across larger surfaces. For care, this fabric should not be washed, bleached or ironed and must be professionally dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use the warm chocolate tone to anchor an upholstered chair, headboard or sofa, then repeat its soft cream detailing in curtains, piping or surrounding linens. The compact geometric texture also suits relaxed bedspreads where a darker, more enveloping neutral is wanted.

A warm chocolate-and-cream woven check that brings tactile structure to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Crossroads Chocolate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
