About this fabric

The cool petrol background gives this velvet colourway considerable depth, allowing ochre sunflowers, coral and cream flowers, and sage-to-olive foliage to stand out clearly. The floral arrangement is large in scale, with overlapping stems, pointed leaves and varied blooms creating a densely illustrated surface. As a velvet, it is especially suited to upholstery, where the saturated ground and elaborate botanical design can form the focal point of a chair, sofa or headboard.

How to use it

Pair the deep petrol teal with aged brass, warm oak and ochre cushions to draw out the sunflower tones. For a more grounded scheme, repeat the sage foliage in plain linen or wool elsewhere in the room.

Use this richly coloured velvet on statement seating, balanced with warm timber and quieter natural textiles.
