Demoiselle Graphite/Almond

Colour 2 Fabrics FabricHAF0098-02

Demoiselle Graphite/Almond places pale, finely detailed dragonflies across a cool graphite-grey ground. Warm almond and muted brown accents at the insects’ bodies add subtle contrast without disturbing the restrained palette.

About this fabric

The 172gsm fabric has a measured, versatile presence, while the visible wing detail gives the surface a lightly textured, illustrated character. Each dragonfly spans a 33.8cm vertical by 45.7cm horizontal repeat, creating a regular rhythm of floating motifs across the cloth. Its 137.2cm usable width allows the pattern to read clearly on both furniture and window treatments. The graphite ground looks softly mottled in the photograph, with pale almond wings catching the light and slender warm brown bodies providing definition.

How to use it

Use this cool graphite colourway on a compact occasional chair, blind or pair of cushions where the pale almond wings can stand out against warm ivory, natural timber and soft taupe. Its restrained contrast also suits a calm, tailored bedroom or sitting room scheme.

The cool graphite ground and pale almond dragonflies bring a quietly elegant, lightly graphic finish to upholstery, cushions or window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Demoiselle Graphite/Almond without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
