Suzuri Onyx layers softened vertical columns and irregular charcoal blocks across a pale grey-green ground. Its lightly weathered surface gives the near-black accents depth without making the colourway feel stark.

About this fabric

This Harlequin wallcovering uses a muted palette of charcoal, smoky grey and pale sage-grey, with darker rectangular marks interrupting the tall, softly striated bands. The distressed, woven-looking surface visible in the image blends crisp graphic structure with subtle tonal variation as light moves across it. It has a 52 cm usable width and a 76.2 cm vertical pattern repeat, with no horizontal repeat. The standard roll length is 10.05 m and the listed weight is 340 gsm.

How to use it

Pair the cool sage-grey ground with pale oak, blackened metal and chalky stone for a calm modern scheme. Use it behind shelving or on a feature wall where the charcoal blocks can create measured architectural contrast.

Use this cool, subdued colourway to bring graphic vertical movement and layered depth to a contemporary room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
