About this fabric

The woven surface shifts between saturated teal, softened aqua and grey-green, creating a calm, mineral-like colour rather than a bright or flat blue. At 465 gsm, the cloth has the substantial presence expected of a heavy chenille and is well suited to upholstery applications. It has a 139 cm usable width and a 58 threads-per-centimetre construction, with the close texture visible across the swatch. Both pattern repeats are 0 cm, confirming this is a non-directional plain texture rather than a patterned design.

How to use it

Use Marly Chenille Teal on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool blue-green tone can anchor warm timber, stone and softly contrasting neutral textiles. The mottled weave is especially effective when a room needs colour and depth without a bold motif.

Use this cool, muted teal on upholstered seating to bring depth without introducing a visible pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
