About this fabric

The silver-grey ground reads clean and cool, while the narrow serpentine bands are picked out by a subtly raised, dotted-looking weave that catches the light. At 440 gsm and 26 threads per cm, this is a substantial woven textile suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats every 46.5 cm vertically and 34 cm horizontally, creating a regular field of elongated, gently shifting forms. With a 135 cm usable width and a standard 50 m length, Chime Silver offers practical coverage for furniture projects.

How to use it

Use Chime Silver on a streamlined sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool silver tone can soften darker grey, white or pale timber surroundings. Keep neighbouring fabrics simple so the long, rippling bands remain the room’s main visual texture.

Use this cool silver-grey weave to bring quiet movement to contemporary upholstery and tailored furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
