Amble Sheer Chalk/Black Earth

Sheers 1 FabricHAF0503-03

Amble Sheer in Chalk/Black Earth is a luminous, translucent cloth with a chalk-white ground and fine charcoal lines running vertically through the panel. In daylight, the open sheer quality allows the view beyond to remain softly visible.

About this fabric

The cool chalk ground gives this colourway a clean, airy appearance, while the slender black-earth lines add gentle definition without making the cloth feel heavy. Its 91 gsm weight and 28.5 threads per cm suit fluid window treatments, where the fine vertical drawing can fall into soft, lightly irregular folds. The fabric has a 294 cm usable width, a 20 cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, making it practical for tall, continuous curtains. Supplied in a standard 30 m length, it offers generous scope for coordinated window schemes.

How to use it

Hang Chalk/Black Earth as full-height curtains in a bright room where its cool white tone can filter strong daylight and its charcoal lines can connect with dark window frames or natural timber. Keep surrounding upholstery quiet to preserve the sheer’s delicate transparency.

Use this lightweight chalk sheer to soften daylight while retaining a delicate vertical rhythm.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Amble Sheer Chalk/Black Earth without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
