About this fabric

The muted taupe has a gentle dove-grey cast against the lighter ivory ground, giving this colourway a calm, lightly dimensional look rather than a high-contrast graphic effect. Fine dark vertical lines divide the columns, while irregular horizontal brush-like motifs create the 28cm vertical and 33cm horizontal repeat. At 326gsm and 30 threads per centimetre, the cloth has a substantial woven presence that suits both upholstery and drapery. Its 135.5cm usable width and 30m standard length are practical specifications for coordinated room schemes.

How to use it

Pair the soft taupe-and-ivory colourway with warm white, putty or pale timber in a relaxed sitting room. The columned pattern can cover an occasional chair or ottoman, while the muted tonal contrast also works as softly structured curtains.

Use this softly contrasting taupe-and-ivory weave to bring gentle structure to upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cintilla Taupe/Dove without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
