About this fabric

The abstract strokes vary from slim gestural lines to broader, softly irregular shapes, giving the large-scale design an energetic hand-painted character. The cream background keeps the colourway light, while the saturated blue and red accents create clear points of contrast against the quieter green and pink tones. At 515 gsm with 28 threads per cm, this is a substantial woven fabric suited to upholstery. It has a 146 cm usable width and a 106 cm vertical by 132 cm horizontal pattern repeat.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its warm cream base can sit comfortably with neutral walls, while the Majorelle blue and spice-red strokes enliven the room. Repeat one of the forest-green or turquoise notes in cushions or painted furniture for a pulled-together scheme.

Pair the warm cream ground with natural timber or quiet neutrals, letting the cobalt, teal, spice red and forest green marks provide the focus.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
