Saltillo Midnight/Burnt Umber/Azure

Saltillo Midnight/Burnt Umber/Azure depicts a richly layered desert landscape beneath a deep midnight-blue sky. Tall cacti, scrubby botanicals and a rust-coloured mountain ridge create a painterly, almost hand-worked scene.

About this fabric

The cool midnight-blue sky gives this colourway a deep, atmospheric backdrop, while burnt-umber and terracotta mountains bring a warmer, earthy counterpoint. Azure, sage, olive, ochre and pale stone tones build up the dense foreground of cacti and irregular desert plants, with the varied marks retaining a painted, illustrative character. Supplied at a 68.6 cm usable width with a 300 cm vertical pattern repeat, the design is intended to read as a substantial landscape across the wall. The standard roll length is 10.5 m.

How to use it

Pair the midnight sky with charcoal, aged timber and muted blue-green furnishings, then pick up the burnt-umber ridge with rust or cognac accents. The large 300 cm repeat is especially effective on a feature wall where the full desert panorama can be appreciated.

Use this expansive desert scene to bring midnight blue depth and warm burnt-umber contrast to a feature wall.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
