About this fabric

This colourway combines a creamy-beige base with deep mulberry bands, olive notes and soft brown striping, so the check feels warm rather than stark. The woven surface has a dry, cloth-like texture that gives the stripes a clear definition as they curve across the drape of the sample. Made from 100% polyester, it measures 140cm wide and carries a 35cm horizontal and vertical pattern repeat, making the check easy to plan on larger pieces. With a 20,000 Martindale rating, General Domestic upholstery grade and treatable FR suitability for both drapery and upholstery, it is a practical decorative fabric for everyday interiors. Colour fastness is rated 5, helping the muted mulberry tones hold their depth over time.

How to use it

Use it for occasional chairs, cushions or Roman blinds where the warm beige ground will keep the room light while the mulberry lines add character. It pairs especially well with walnut woods, aged brass and plain wool textures.

A tailored tartan that feels classic and welcoming in a traditional scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside HEATHCLIFF Mulberry 2 without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
