Portland Somerville Nautical Flat is a crisp, small-scale stripe with a fresh coastal feel. The mix of blue, red and pale neutral lines gives the fabric a clean, tailored look.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this Portland fabric has a 137cm usable width and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the stripe easy to plan across cushions, blinds and upholstery pieces. The colourway is built from soft sky blue, deeper navy, warm red and pale neutral lines, so it reads bright and breezy rather than heavy. With a 30,000 Martindale and a Heavy Domestic upholstery grade, it is suitable for everyday seating as well as drapery and accessories. It is also treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, with colour fastness 5 and pilling 4 for practical day-to-day use.

How to use it

Use it where you want a light nautical note without going overly bold: it works well on a bench, headboard or relaxed curtains. The cool blue stripes sit neatly against white, stone and weathered timber.

Pair with pale oak and crisp white for a fresh coastal scheme.
