Maharishi Midnight Wavy

SS23 Images - Babooshka Fabric

Maharishi Midnight Wavy pairs a deep midnight-blue ground with a lively trail of coral, teal and ochre botanicals. The print feels crisp against the darker base, giving the design a rich, collected look.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this colourway has a clear surface and a medium-scale pattern that reads sharply across the cloth. The usable width is 137cm, with a horizontal repeat of 17cm and a vertical repeat of 16cm, so the floral trail keeps a steady rhythm over larger pieces. With a Martindale of 20,000 and General Domestic upholstery grading, it is suited to everyday seating as well as curtains and accessories. It is also treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, and it carries Better Cotton content for a considered finish.

How to use it

Use this midnight ground to add depth in a sitting room, where the coral and teal notes can lift walnut, brass or painted wood. It works especially well on a pair of cushions, a Roman blind, or a compact occasional chair that can handle a smart, patterned statement.

The dark ground and lively floral motif give this cotton a polished look for tailored upholstery or statement drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Maharishi Midnight Wavy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
