Maharishi Tapestry Flat

Maharishi Tapestry Flat brings a richly patterned floral design to a warm mustard-yellow ground. The printed motif feels lively and vintage-inspired, with earthy terracotta, soft pink and olive accents adding depth.

About this fabric

This colourway is shown on a bright mustard-saffron background that gives the small floral repeat a sunny, slightly bohemian feel. The 100% cotton cloth has a 137cm usable width and a 17cm horizontal by 16cm vertical pattern repeat, making the motif read in a tidy, regular rhythm across the surface. With a Martindale rating of 20,000 and an upholstery grade of General Domestic, it is suitable for everyday seating as well as drapery and accessories. It is also treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, and the Better Cotton content adds a considered sourcing note.

How to use it

Use this yellow ground to warm up painted timber, rattan and darker woods, or pair it with mossy greens and clay tones for a layered scheme. It is especially effective on occasional chairs, cushions or lined curtains where the small-scale floral detail can be appreciated.

A warm mustard base with intricate floral patterning that works well for statement upholstery or curtains.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Maharishi Tapestry Flat without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
