Portland Somerville Riviera Flat is a finely striped cotton with a cool, tailored look. The mix of chalky pale grounds, blue-grey lines and deeper navy accents gives the cloth a fresh, coastal feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this fabric has a usable width of 137cm and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the stripe easy to plan across cushions, curtains and light upholstery. The palette is a restrained blend of off-white, misty grey and blue, with occasional darker navy bands that sharpen the design and stop it feeling washed out. With a heavy domestic upholstery grade and a Martindale rating of 30,000, it is suitable for both decorative and practical use. Colour fastness 5 and pilling 4 further support its everyday performance, while FR treatment can be applied for drapery and upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, bench cushion or Roman blind where the fine vertical stripe will read neat and architectural. Its cool blue-grey tone sits especially well with white-painted joinery, limestone, driftwood and other softly weathered finishes.

Pair with crisp white or pale oak for a clean coastal look.
