Portland Waterbury Aqua Flat is a crisp vertical stripe in a pale aqua ground with slim ivory divisions. The effect is light, airy and quietly coastal rather than bold.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this Portland fabric has a usable width of 137cm and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the stripe rhythm easy to plan across larger pieces. With a 30,000 Martindale and Heavy Domestic upholstery grade, it is suitable for everyday seating as well as curtains and accessories. The colourway reads as a muted aqua with a cool, watery cast and a soft matte surface that keeps the stripe fresh rather than icy. Treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, it combines a practical specification with an easy, relaxed appearance.

How to use it

Use it to soften pale painted walls, bleached timber and linen textures, where the cool aqua stripe adds gentle structure without feeling busy. It works especially well in fresh coastal, cottage or contemporary country schemes.
