Hendrix Chili Wavy

SS23 Images - Babooshka Fabric

Hendrix Chili Wavy brings a vivid, peppery red base together with crisp vertical striping and flashes of cream, blue and golden ochre. The woven texture gives the colourway a lively, tactile rhythm rather than a flat printed look.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a warm chili-red ground threaded with narrow cream herringbone-style stripes, brighter orange notes and occasional cool blue accents, creating a spirited but balanced stripe. The surface reads as a substantial woven cloth with visible texture and a dry handle, supported by its 89% Polyester, 6% Viscose, 3% Cotton and 2% Linen composition. With a usable width of 136cm and a 20cm horizontal pattern repeat, it is well suited to statement upholstery as well as curtains and accessories, and the heavy domestic upholstery grade plus 30,000 Martindale rating make it practical for everyday use. It is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, giving extra specification flexibility for contract or domestic schemes. Colour fastness is rated 5, so the rich red tone should hold well in use.

How to use it

Use it on an accent chair, cushions or lined curtains where the warm red and spice-toned stripes can add energy without feeling harsh. It works especially well with walnut wood, aged brass and plain linens in cream or soft taupe.

Pair with simple solids to let the lively stripe and warm spice tones lead.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
