About this fabric

Portland Waterbury Rouge Wavy is woven from 100% cotton and has a usable width of 137cm, with a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat. The design shows broad rouge red stripes separated by slim pale cream lines, creating a clear vertical rhythm with a crisp, decorative edge. The red reads warm and saturated, with subtle tonal variation in the weave that catches the light and gives the surface a softly brushed appearance. With a Heavy Domestic upholstery grade and 30,000 Martindale rub count, it is well suited to both upholstery and drapery, and it is treatable for FR use in either application.

How to use it

Use this stripe on an armchair, window seat or tailored curtains where the strong vertical repeat can add height and structure. It works especially well with chalk white, pale stone or walnut finishes to balance the vivid rouge tone.

Pair with crisp neutrals or dark timber to let the bold stripe feel tailored rather than busy.
