Rhapsody Malachite Flat

SS23 Images - Babooshka Fabric

Rhapsody Malachite Flat has a richly patterned, tapestry-like look, with teal green grounds softened by blush pink and warm cream detailing. The repeated floral motifs give it a decorative, rhythmic feel that reads lively without becoming harsh.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, Rhapsody Malachite Flat is a versatile fabric with a 140cm usable width and a 17cm horizontal by 32cm vertical pattern repeat. The design shows a compact, repeating floral form in teal, muted rose and warm ivory, with a slightly aged, heritage character that feels more collected than bold. Its 20,000 Martindale rating and General Domestic upholstery grade make it practical for everyday seating as well as drapery and accessories. It is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, and the Better Cotton content adds a considered sourcing note. The colourway sits in a cool teal-green register, lifted by blush accents and cream outlines that keep the overall effect airy rather than heavy.

How to use it

This colourway works well when you want pattern with a fresh, slightly antique mood, especially on accent chairs, blinds or full-length curtains. Pair it with natural woods, pale plaster tones or soft terracotta to echo the warm pink notes and balance the teal.

Use it to bring a decorative, heritage feel to cushions, curtains or a statement chair.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Rhapsody Malachite Flat without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
