Crammond Mauve
Inchcolm Abbey Fabric
Crammond Mauve has a deep, dusky mauve tone that shifts subtly between plum and grey across the surface. Its close-up texture appears softly mottled rather than patterned, giving the colour quiet depth.

About this fabric
The fabric is a dark, desaturated mauve with a cool plum cast and a restrained, cloudy variation across the face. Fine surface fibres create a soft, low-contrast texture, so the colour reads as layered rather than flat while remaining visually plain. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its strongest visible character is the nuanced colour and tactile surface. The dense-looking face gives the swatch a tailored, upholstery-led appearance.
How to use it
Use Crammond Mauve on a statement chair, footstool or sofa where its smoky plum tone can anchor softer greys, aged timber and warm neutrals. In darker rooms, pair it with brushed metal or pale upholstery accents to bring out its subtle tonal variation.
A deep, muted mauve with a subtly mottled surface for tailored upholstery and quieter, atmospheric interiors.

Pairs well with
Crammond Mauve is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
