About this fabric

This fabric is built from a compact, medium-scale check, with horizontal and vertical yarns creating a subtly uneven, handwoven-looking surface. The dominant amber and russet tones bring warmth and depth, while pale cream threads lighten the ground and blue-grey flecks add a cooler counterpoint. Its nubby weave catches the light unevenly, making the pattern feel textured rather than flat. The robust-looking textile weight makes this colourway particularly well suited to upholstery applications.

How to use it

Use Moray Cove Amber to upholster a reading chair or bench, where its warm amber tone can sit comfortably with oat linen, weathered wood and muted blue-grey accents.

Use this warm amber check on a traditional armchair, footstool or occasional seat alongside chalky neutrals and aged timber.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Moray Cove Amber without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
