8 Bit Charcoal

Arcade Fabric

8 Bit Charcoal gives the Arcade design a deep, cool-toned presence, with a near-black ground layered by irregular grey pixel shapes. The dense repeat reads as both graphic and textured across the swatch.

About this fabric

The surface is covered with small, broken geometric marks that resemble an 8-bit digital pattern rather than a regular linear repeat. Charcoal and black dominate, while varied grey flecks catch the light and stop the ground from appearing flat. Its visibly substantial, closely woven construction makes it most naturally suited to upholstery. No additional performance features or technical specifications are supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use 8 Bit Charcoal on a contemporary occasional chair, sofa or headboard where its cool charcoal depth can anchor pale grey, concrete, blackened metal and warm timber. Keep surrounding fabrics quieter so the pixel-like pattern remains the focal texture.

A dark, graphic textile that brings pixel-like movement and depth to contemporary upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside 8 Bit Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
