Blanket Balsam

Burst Fabric

Blanket Balsam presents a cool, softly weathered composition of blue-grey, taupe, chalky cream and charcoal. Broad, irregular bands move across the textured surface like layered dry-brush marks.

About this fabric

The colourway is led by restrained blue-grey tones, softened with warm taupe and broken up by pale cream patches and deeper charcoal flecks. Its abstract horizontal forms vary in density, giving the surface a gently mottled appearance rather than a sharply defined repeat. Fine visible texture across the weave catches the light subtly, adding depth without making the palette feel bright or saturated. No performance features or further specification data are supplied for this catalogued fabric.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-grey ground with pale timber, stone and soft cream upholstery for a calm, tonal scheme. Taupe and charcoal accents can draw out the warmer and darker brushstroke details without competing with the painterly pattern.

Its compact woven texture and adaptable blue-grey palette suit both upholstered furniture and softly tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
